Rosscarbery under 14
footballers were in championship action on Monday evening in Union
Hall against Drimoleague and after a spirited come back they fell
short on a score of 3-8 to 2-9. Ross were trailing by 7 points after
the first quarter before they registered their first score. Two more
points followed as they fought their way back into the game they
then conceded a second goal and on the stroke of half time a third
goal was scored to leave Ross trailing 3-5 to 0-3 at the break. Ross
had a mountain to climb if they were to make a game of it and how
well they responded getting 5 unanswered points, before Maurice
Allshire taped home a deserved goal to leave just 3 between them.
Drimoleague then scored their first score of the second half and the
lead was just down to a one point margin after Austin Keane cracked
home a stunning goal. The Ross full back then raced up the field and
was denied by the wood work as they chased the lead. Two more points
